SAFEPOL MULTICOLOR

APPLICATION TIPS

 

 

For all flooring types, we are talking about an ideal application temperature of 20-25ºC, on decent substrates. Deviations from these admissions might vary the consumptions/times/sequence of layers/preparation work and the final result in general.


PU PRIMER 870

Application temperature:
10 to 35º C

Working temperature of applied material:
-30 to 50º C

Tools of application:
brush (or spray on gravel)

Consumption (20-25º C):
0.2-0.4 kg/m².

Covering of primer:
immediately

 

 

PU BINDER 1118 + SAFEPOL

Application temperature:
10 to 35º C

Working temperature of applied material:
-30 to 50º C

Tools of application:
rake for spreading, (wooden) straightedge for initial smoothing, trowel for final smoothing and compacting, cylinder weighing 8-15 kg for final compacting-(cylinder should be cleaned repeatedly with xylene-based solvent to remove stuck granules from its surface).  Apply 1m-wide strips side-by-side down the length of the playground, to allow for convenient work from the side of each strip.

Consumption (20-25º C):
~ 20-22 kg/m² for 4 cm thickness in one layer.
Covering in 10-12 hours

 

SECOND LAYER OF PU PRIMER

Application temperature:
10 to 35º C

Working temperature of applied material:
-30 to 50º C

Tools of application:
brush (or spray on gravel)

Consumption (20-25º C):
~ 0.2 kg/m² in one layer

Covering of primer:
immediately

 

PU BINDER 1118 + SAFEPOL MULTICOLOR 859 (EPDM)

Application temperature:
10 to 35º C

Working temperature of applied material:
-30 to 50º C

Tools of application:
rake for spreading, (wooden) straightedge for initial smoothing, trowel for final smoothing and compacting, cylinder weighing 25 kg (or so) for final compacting (cylinder should be cleaned repeatedly with xylene-based solvent to remove stuck granules from its surface).  Apply 1m-wide strips side-by-side down the length of the playground, to allow for convenient work from the side of each strip


Consumption (20-25º C): ~8 kg/m² for 1 cm thickness in one layer

For 120 m², a crew of 3 people will need 2 days.
